After a busy schedule from Lucknow we were tired. We took our dinner. Meanwhile my brother arrived from Pathankot where he
is posted as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army. We took our train to Dehradun in the night. We reached there the next day at
about 1:30 pm. We needed to get freshed. We took a hotel. After a prompt rest we called taxi for sight-seeing. The Doon Valley
is situated between the two most important rivers of India, i.e., Ganga and Yamuna. As we had limited time we decided to visit
the Tapakeshwar Shiv Temple. After about an hour of journey we reached the place. We had to walk downstairs to reach the place.
It is an ancient place of worship. The theme of the temple is the Shiv Ling, continuously served by water droplets dripping
from the stone caves. There were also a temple of Parvati and Hanuman near to it. As the temples were inside a cave, it increased
out level of attraction towards it. After spending some time in it we went back to our hotel. It was already night. We planned
to visit Musssoorie the next day.
We reached back from Mussoorie on 17 and we were free till the noon. We had hardly visited Dehradun and we decided to make
our trip to Sahastra Dhara. We booked a car and reached there in about half an hour. It is a famous picnic spot. Its noted
for it's astounding beauty and medicinal sulpher waterfalls. There were many small waterfalls everywhere and it filled us
with adventurous feelings. We took our time to explore the surroundings for more scheneries. But time was limited. We had
our train back to Kanpur. So we returned back to our hotel for packing and check-out.
